Tour Overview

This 6-day queen Elizabeth, Kibale forest and Murchison falls safari takes you to the best three Uganda safari destination, it involves activities such as wildlife viewing through game drive, chimpanzee trekking at Kibale forest, boat cruise on Kazinga channel. Viewing the mighty Murchison falls, You meet 4 of the 5 African Big game animals together with a remarkable Chimpanzee encounter.

DAY 1 – Kampala-Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early in the morning after your breakfast, our safari guide will pick you from the hotel and you will embark on a journey to Queen Elizabeth national park situated at the foothills of mountain Rwenzori in Kasese District through the Masaka – Mbarara highway. Stop at the equator monument for photographs. Later proceed to queen national park check-in at your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

DAY 2 – Morning Game Drive and aboat Cruise on Kazinga Channel

Wake up early, take breakfast then start with a game view to Kasenyi plains. You are likely to see black and white Columbus monkey, bushbuck, Uganda Kob, topi, Defassa waterbuck, and Cape buffaloes. A collection of birds like Cassin’s grey flycatcher, broad-billed roller, black bee-eater along the banks of Lake Edward. Return to the lodge for lunch; then in the afternoon go for a launch cruise on Kazinga channel (2hrs) along with Lake George-Lake Edward, come eye-eye with gaping hippos, crocodiles, leopards though infrequent. Ornithologists should look out for over 550 resident species like flamingos, red chest, papyrus Gonolek, pink backed pelicans, malachite kingfishers, yellow crown, pink backed pelicans, water thick-knee, yellow-billed stork, shoebill stock. Don’t forget your camera. Return to your lodge for relaxation.

DAY 3 – Transfer From Queen Elizabeth National Park to Kibale

After taking breakfast, depart from Queen Elizabeth to Kibale National Park. Kibale National Park has the highest concentration and variety of primates in East Africa with 13 species and overall 60 mammal species and so far offers the best excellent chimpanzee tracking in Uganda. Dine and sleep at your lodge as you wait to meet man’s closest relative the following day.

DAY 4 – Chimpanzee Trekking In Kibale National Park

After breakfast on day 4, you will report to the park headquarters for briefing and proceed for chimpanzee tracking near Kanyanchu. This is a stunning activity that draws you closer to man’s closest relative, it can take you up to 6 hours. There are other primates in the area like the L’Hoest monkey, baboons, white and black colobus monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabey, red colobus, blue monkeys, and pottos. Other animals include forest elephants unique from the common type, giant forest hogs, and a striking tree species.

Enjoy Lunch and later take a guided nature walk to Bigodi swamp sanctuary, a good site for birders. The Great Blue Turaco and Papyrus Gonolek can easily be marked among the other bird 137 species. There is also an array of butterfly species that can be encountered during your chimpanzee experience. Retire and return for dinner and overnight as above.

DAY 5 – Transfer from Kibale to Murchison Falls, Viewing the Falls and Aboat Cruise on the Nile

After breakfast at 6:30 am, you will head  to Murchison Falls National Park,  you will have lunch enroute then proceed to view the scenic Falls and see where the Nile explodes to become a placid river with rainbow colors. You will have time to enjoy the view and sounds of world’s most powerful waterfall, take pictures and videos of the Falls to keep the memories alive. You will later be driven to the Nile for a two-hour launch cruise on the Nile up to the substructure of the Murchison Falls. Along the banks of the river, you may have an opportunity to see the amazing hippos, crocodiles and water birds. After the boat, drive to the Lodge for  Dinner and overnight, enjoy a beautiful evening at your Lodge

DAY 6 – Morning Game Drive at Murchison Falls and Travel Back to Kampala

You will have breakfast at 6am and then at 6:30 am, head out for an early morning game drive. You will drive through the northern bank of the park in search of various animals including Elephants, Buffaloes, Bushbucks, Lions, Leopards, Giraffes, Hartebeests and a variety of bird species. You will go for Lunch at 12:00 pm and then at 1:00 pm, You will head back to Kampala, Our driver will drop you to the Airport
