Tour Overview
This 10 Days Uganda Safari takes you to Murchison Falls where you will enjoy game viewing drives, a hike to the top of the falls and a boat cruise on the Victoria Nile. After proceeding to Kibale Forest for Chimpanzee trekking and a Bigodi nature walk then connect to Queen Elizabeth National Park for more game sightings and a boat ride on the amazing Kazinga channel. The last leg of the safari takes you to the Bwindi impenetrable Forest national park through the Ishasha sector where you will see the tree climbing lions. The last activity on the trip will be Gorilla Tracking where you will see the Endangered Mountain Gorillas.
Tour Highlights
Our driver/ guide will receive and welcome you to Uganda from Entebbe international airport. He will transport you to Kampala the capital city of Uganda, where he will drop you to hotel and brief you on history of Uganda and brief on safari. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel in Entebbe/Kampala’
Our driver will transfer you to Murchison falls, driving to northwest, passing by the famous luwero Triangle, and then proceed to Masindi via Ziwa Rhino Project. Our driver will drive you to ziwa Rhino sanctuary for Rhino trekking. You will have a lunch stop and then proceed to Murchison falls.
With an early start, you will head out for an early morning game drive to see the various wildlife as you explore the various habitats. Some of the animals you will spot include elephants, hyenas, lions, Uganda kobs, buffaloes and giraffes among many others then leita you will go have lunch. After lunch you will head out on a 2 hours launch cruise of the River Nile to the bottom of the waterfalls which you will be able to see in their full mighty. You will encounter various wildlife along the river banks such as the giant Nile crocodiles, large numbers of hippos, birds and elephants among others. Later you will return to your accommodation for dinner and the overnight.
After Breakfast the driver will transfer you to kibale national park. Via the top of the Murchison falls where 1 km wide Nile forced into a 7-meter gap to a thunderous roar – known as the most powerful falls. There is a resident beautiful rainbow formed making a contrast with the crashing water. After the experience, we proceed to Kibale national Park, en route You will view local homesteads, green countryside and local farms along the Alberdandelione Rift escarpment. The journey takes 7-8 hours drive and you will check-in at the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Take breakfast, report to headquarters for briefing. Enter the jungle to search for chimpanzees. Game rangers know where to find the chimpanzees easily, after find the chimpanzee spend one hour with them. Return for lunch, after lunch head to Bigodi swamp which is well known for best destination for birds. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park will start off after your morning breakfast. The driver will drive through the south passing the Crater Lake area, you will be viewing beautiful landscape and rolling hills. You might have a chance of viewing animals from the road from Queen Elizabeth national park. Check-in to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Take African cup of coffee and head to park for game drive, expect to see to see buffaloes, lions to list the few and variety of bird species. Head back to the lodge for lunch, after you go for an exciting boat cruise along the kazinga channel. You will spot a lot of animals during boat ride like hippos, buffalos, and elephant’s drinking water. End of the day back to the lodge.
Take African coffee and then the driver will transfer you to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park for gorilla trekking. You will pass via the Ishasha area where you will see tree-climbing lions and other wildlife. Dinner and overnight at the lodge
After an early morning breakfast, drive to the park headquarters where you will be briefed by the park rangers about what to do and not to do while in the park, also you will be divided in group of 8. After continue and start off gorilla trekking these gentle giants as directed by the rangers. This is a memorable and an amazing experience watching the Mountain gorillas feed, play around and also do their day to day activities. This activity can take 2 hours or even up to 8 hours since its dependent on the location and movement of the gorillas. Also expect to walk long distances in muddy and steep conditions- this will require you to have a walking stick. On meeting the gorillas, you will spend one hour with them as you take photos. Later, return back to the lodge and in the evening you may choose to relax at the lodge or visit the Batwa community which will expose you to their culture basing on how they live, dance, and also hearing stories concerning their culture which will leave you amazed. Have dinner and overnight.
You will have breakfast and after breakfast our driver will be waiting to transfer you back to Kampala. You will have stopover from mbarara town for lunch and then proceed to Uganda equator for photo shots. You will arrival to Kampala in the evening, the driver will either drop you to the hotel or to Entebbe international airport to catch-up with your flight.
